To raise awareness of TBS Superstation just prior to the “Upfront” media buying season in New York, Chicago and Atlanta, HMG staged a series of newsworthy events where we knew TV news cameras would be–at central Post Offices on April 15th (until midnight) where last minute taxpayers try to beat the deadline. We created TBS branded “living rooms” right on Post Office sidewalks–complete with La-Z-Boys, snacks and, of course, TBS programming on our TVs. To complete the scene, we ran an instant win game issuing checks of up to $1,000 to lucky winners to help with their taxes.
